Halloween Half Marathon

Well, Kodys new hobby this past summer kept us going most of the weekends....Running. This time we went to Provo for his 2nd half marathon (13.1 miles, his first one was in August, the Top of Utah Half, finished 1 hr. 52 min.) This one was a Halloween themed race, on October 30th. There were 2,800 runners! Holy crap right? It was insane the amount of buses that were lined up that morning to take them up Provo canyon to the starting line! Everyone dressed up, which was also entertaining, and Kod decided to go dressed as a Pimp. haha The main reason he chose the costume was because it looked warm, and we thought it might be cooler weather, but in the end, he said we were wrong.... oops!

After the race....We (mostly he) realized that he was a little over dressed for the warmer weather, but we're from Preston....not Provo!
He did AMAZING!!! 1 hr. 40 min. and 32 secs. (PR, beat his 1st time by 12 minutes!) They even all got cool skull medals :)

Kinda a bad picture, but there were soooooo many people lined up for the buses! (kods in the red) I'm still adjusting to the fact that so many peeps like to run 13.1 miles! It's been so amazing to me to watch Kod do so well, and I hope his motivation rubs off on me and I can run with him more next season. :)

All in all, it's been a great experience and we get a night out and I got to go shopping while he was running, so it's a win/win situation... :) So proud of ya Kod!
